Microsoft 365 is known globally for its suite of business-critical products. From Word to Excel, PowerPoint and Teams, its tools are used every day by small start-ups right through to huge multinationals.
In fact, there’s a whole universe of tools just within MS Teams, which offer enormous business collaboration benefits.
Meeting notes and recordings
Meetings are largely pointless if the actions and follow-ups aren’t documented or completed. To solve this, Microsoft rolled out meeting notes and recordings to its Teams platform, providing not just a recording but also a detailed overview of the points covered. This is delivered immediately after the call finishes – collated from the real-time, collaborative note-taking functionality that all meeting participants can access.
Task: Simplifying team coordination and project management
The Task app within MS Teams provides a centralised hub for organising, assigning and tracking each part of a project. By allowing users to create to-do lists, set deadlines and monitor progress all within Teams itself, Task provides a seamless project management solution that doesn’t require users switch between programs. What’s more, this being a Microsoft solution means that Word, Excel or other files can also be shared directly within the app.
Bookings: Revolutionising appointment scheduling
Any business that works with bookings or appointments knows the importance of keeping diaries accurate and up to date. The Bookings app does just this, offering customisable reservations pages that also integrate with the rest of the (rather quite expansive) Teams environment.
Of course, booking platforms are only effective if they’re easy to use, so MS Bookings has been designed with a friendly, accessible interface that is easily grasped by both staff and customers alike.
Forms: Streamlining data collection and feedback
Feedback is essential for countless business processes, be it through polls, surveys or quizzes. As such, MS Forms has been integrated into Teams so data can be collected from all sources – whether it’s team members, customers or external stakeholders.
As well as streamlining the data collection process, Forms lets businesses amass a comprehensive feedback repository to be worked on and retained for future reference.
